Mog saves Christmas

This weeks writing task we were to write about a Christmas video that we had watched and i chose to do it from both perspectives,The cat and The Thomas family.I think i done alright and i know there's a spot for improvement and i could've made it more in depth.

The cat’s perspective //

I woke up because I smelt smoke all around where I was sleeping.So I got straight up and jumped to the bench,I hopped over to the oven and walked along it,I had no idea of what made it happen but i tried to open the oven to get the burning item out.I closed it as a whole bit of dark smoke slammed into my face.I got horrified and scared so i backed it up a little bit,I felt that the whole oven was hot so i backed off it.I got so scared i didn’t notice walking all over the phone i heard two buttons that i had stepped on and heard one more as i leaped over to the kitchen table but i heard a voice from the phone as I tried to get right on to the table,I got hold of the table cloth but couldn’t exactly reach the table,But i pulled all the things off the ground but leaped up to table,This time i reached it...So now it was like this time where those popcorn nuts were flying around making everything in the kitchen a disaster.Then i ran out because everything was a mess.

The family’s point

Well We all woke up and heard a siren outside our house not even noticing the fire or smoke filling the air.We came out and were told by the fireman the Mog had actually saved our life and we thought that we should give her an egg so we walked inside and saw everything was black and all burnt.We were all sad then we turned around and saw our whole neighbourhood with their gifts and feasts it was cool our house was set up and full.

In the end Mog looked all guilty and all but then received an egg from one children and that brightened up his day.

week 8 writing

This week in writing we focused on using literary devices to enhance our writing we all got different story starters mine was:Describe the house and life of a powerful gorilla who is the worst singer in the world.

persuasive writing

This week we were to write a piece of writing to persuade miss to either give us music while education or not to.

Does music help people learn,or distract them?does it depend on the music,or on the person?

Music

I believe music can distract all no matter the type of person or music.This puts people off task.Most of our students are independent and like to work alone which also means they like peace and quiet.When it comes to learning music isn’t the best but it can stop us from learning,Learning is one of the most important things we need in life and our parents send us to school for an education not a vacation.

First,because education is one of the most important things in life music shouldn’t start.Music can put our grades down and it’ll put our parents down too.Our Mothers and Fathers pay for our education and send us to school for the same reason.If they realise that they will be sending us to school just to listen to music they’ll be disappointed and would realise how unprepared we would be for secondary school.

Secondly,secondary school will be straight up strict.If the student will be going to a catholic school and their knowledge in Religious Education is low.The next school they enter would be very confused of what catholic primary school they came to,because as said our parents pay for our Education and send us here for a reason.Many from this year 7&8 class get distracted easily and music won’t do any good to it.

In addition,Music isn’t the problem nor the person but music can be a big distraction when it comes to school and education.Music can also annoy many and from my point of view there would be no point in music because our class can just talk normally and it’ll ruin that reward.No one would ever have a finished piece of learning work and will end up going home with no answer if their parents or family members ask what they learnt that current day at school.

I highly recommend no music because education is about learning the good skills in life and the soon to be secondary students wouldn’t be any where near prepared for their next school.
